48% Merlot – 50% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Petit Verdot – 1% Cabernet Franc

Deep colour. Rich, concentrated, with aromas of blackberry jam and blackcurrant. Full-bodied structure with soft and coated tannins. Intense finish, on balance and freshness.

2018 vintage

58% Merlot – 38.5% Cabernet Sauvignon – 2.5% Petit Verdot – 1% Cabernet Franc

1st year of conversion: 100% of the vineyard led to organic farming.

Superb black fruits. The mouth is fleshy, dense, with a pure and mellow texture. The finish is sleek, tasty, long and elegant, delicate tannins.

2017 vintage

Petit Verdot enters for the first time the Château Fourcas Hosten blend!

With 2/3 of Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 vintage has character. Precise, it offers a great quality of tannins.

2016 vintage

55% Merlot – 44% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Cabernet Franc

Classy combination of complexity and elegance.

Perfectly ripe fruit, dense on the palate with volume and rich suppleness. Good body, rich in subtle, smooth tannins.
This vintage is outstanding in terms of its balance.

2015 vintage

54% Merlot – 45% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Cabernet Franc
Lasting more than a month, the 2015 harvest required endurance and patience, which was a conscious decision to wait for ideally ripe fruit.
This fortitude is evident in the wine’s strong colour, its pure, sparkling fruit with its velvety aromas and very elegant tannins.

2014 vintage

60% Merlot – 39% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Cabernet Franc
Displays fine body with classy, flavoursome tannins.
This wine has a lovely aromatic structure with appealing generosity and elegance.
Moderately woody. So moreish!

2013 vintage

39% Merlot – 60% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Cabernet Franc
Balanced floral nose with hints of blackberry and blackcurrant.
Cabernet Sauvignon-rich blend, subtle, elegant tannins, fresh and very precisely structured.

2012 vintage

53% Merlot – 45% Cabernet Sauvignon – 2% Cabernet Franc
Lots of colour, floral and spicy notes on the nose, cherry and blackcurrant.
Clean-cut attack, ripe tannins and very nice balance.
Very tasty wine with depth and concentration.

2011 vintage

51% Merlot – 47% Cabernet Sauvignon – 2% Cabernet Franc
Both robust and elegant, this wine is to wait for and long-keeping.
Succulent fruit, toasted, spicy hints. Dense on the palate.

2010 vintage

45% Merlot – 55% Cabernet Sauvignon
Ripe black berries on the nose, delicately spicy wood. Generous, full-bodied and big on the palate.
Well-defined structure, rich tannins thanks to their ripeness and accurate extraction, very long.
Toasted notes of mocha and blackcurrant on the finish. Elegant and complex.

2009 vintage

68% Merlot – 32% Cabernet Sauvignon
Beautifully extracted, producing a rich, structured, deep wine.
Ripe fruit with hints of mocha on the bouquet. Mouth-filling and moreish.
Subtle fragrances of vanilla and forest fruits on the finish that features silky, mellowed tannins.

2008 vintage

59% Merlot – 40% Cabernet Sauvignon – 1% Cabernet Franc
This vintage has distinctive balanced tannins and layers of ripe fruit.
Very round and tasty on the palate, soft and supple with roasted coffee notes. Very elegant as it lingers.
